The owners of the Horseshoe Trout and About Sabie, Tobie and Antoinette Strydom died in a tragic car accident on the Long Tom Pass in Sabie at about 23:00 on August 23.

Monique Bezuidenhout, their daughter, made a Facebook post on August 25 asking community members to help locate her parents, who were still missing at the time.

Shortly after, she informed followers that her parents had died in a single-vehicle crash and that the farm would be closed until further notice.

Sergeant Mhlanga of the Sabie SAPS confirmed that police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
