A field officer of the SPCA, Edwell Khumalo, was attacked and robbed last night, September 27, while he was on duty at the SPCA Nelspruit.

Inspector Michelle Steyn confirmed that he was treated at a nearby clinic before being taken to Rob Ferreira Hospital for further medical treatment.

The SPCA shared on their Facebook page that the field phone was also stolen during the incident and asked for any donation to help replace it.
