Homeless man found dead near Rob Ferreira Hospital in Mbombela

Police are on the scene in Mbombela where the body of a homeless man was discovered.

A homeless man was found dead near Rob Ferreira Hospital on Tuesday, October 28. The cause of death is unknown at this stage. Police are on the scene, awaiting pathologists to collect the body. He was declared dead at the scene by state paramedics.

According to an eyewitness, a passerby had approached the man to offer him food. When he did not respond, the passerby alerted hospital security guards, who then contacted the police and paramedics.

The body has not yet been identified and will be taken to the state mortuary. Anyone who can assist the police in identifying him is encouraged to visit the Nelspruit Police Station.

Traffic in the area is not affected at this stage.
