A Mozambican man (39) was arrested by members of the Nelspruit Flying Squad today, April 12, on the N4 at Alkmaar after a Toyota Hilux Legend 50 was reported stolen.

Police received information that the vehicle had been reported stolen in Phokeng in the North West Province. Police then issued a lookout and spotted a vehicle matching the given description on the N4.

“Upon stopping the vehicle and conducting a preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the vehicle was fitted with false registration plates and licence disc, and it was reported stolen in North West Province,” Colonel Mavela Masondo, police spokesperson shared.

The man was charged with possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle.
