Weather doesn’t hinder CANSA’s huge success

This year's CANSA Relay For Life was a huge success despite the windy weather.

MALALANE – This year’s CANSA Relay For Life was a huge success despite the windy weather.

After a hot day and a great start the weather changed into a gale, and by midnight team members had put their tents and gazebos away but not their spirit. They walked around the field until 04:00 and finished the bokdrol-spoeg competition, then called it a night. The relay committee is proud to say the turnout was great. Committee chairman, Tania Cronje would like to thank the community for its support and the hard-working team members who made it all happen.

The total proceeds has not yet been determined but the team is certain it will exceed its expectations.
