Add fun to combating crime and drug abuse

LYDENBURG – Monate Events and Mash Crew Spinners have combined to develop and implement a campaign that will aim to raise awareness on the effects of crime and drug abuse.
This campaign will take place on November 23 at the Mashishing Stadium from 12:00 to late.
Spin city events are popular in townships throughout South Africa and have also gained local support in the Mashishing community.
According to Comfort Sibiya, one of the organisers of the event entertainment is the language of the youth. “Instead of lectured, the organisers are just to deploy posters, flyers and T-shirts with catchy illustrations and text. The idea is to convey messages through fewer words and relevant, eye-catching images. Young people do not show much interest in lectures, hence the organisers decided to come up with a new and fresh approach of creating social awareness.”

“Monate Events believes the potential exists for this event to attain regional and national profile as an original, creative and performing motor sports event. The opportunity now exists for sponsors to lift this event into a widely popular and established part of the regional event calendar. We would be delighted to work with sponsors and realise the events full publicity potential,” Sibiya explains.
