Worker safety is a priority on farms

It is the desire of every farmer that each worker should to return home safely at the end of every working day.

MALALANE – It is the desire of every farmer that each worker should to return home safely at the end of every working day.

There is no room for accidents or negligence in the agriculture industry. On average, 10 South African agricultural workers claim from Workers’ Compensation each day.

Neofresh Hectorspruit and Neofresh Low’s Creek invested in training to further develop their occupational health and safety culture. Agri-IQ, a local company facilitated the training. Delegates learnt about managing safety in the workplace, different types of incidents and safety rules. Particular emphasis was placed on working with chemicals and the identification of safety hazards on the farm and in the packhouse.

For any training requirements contact 013-790-1339 or chantel@agri-iq.com or dian@agri-iq.com
