A memorable first-time visit to KNP for employees

MARLOTH PARK – Employees experience the beauty of the Kruger National Park (KNP) for the first time ever.
Honorary rangers, municipal rangers, residents and local businesses took part in an ice-bucket challenge at the Tin Shack to raise funds for the trip.
There was enough to hire a minibus and take 12 employees to the park during Heritage Week.
“They were municipal workers from various departments and those helping with the clean-up and recycling campaign. Many have worked in Marloth Park for years and never had the opportunity to visit the KNP. People must spare a thought for all the workers who do not own vehicles and therefore have no access to national parks, which is why so few people in the community have the privilege of visiting them even if they are on their doorstep.” said honorary ranger Ms Alison Fritzgerald.
According to her the went well and the people were astonished by their surroundings. “They were absolutely thrilled and saw elephant, rhino and lion for the first time in their lives. I have posted the pictures on the Marloth Park Honorary Rangers Page. They were so eager to learn about the wildlife and asked many questions. Thanks to the Marloth Park community and JSL Transport for supplying excellent service at an affordable rate, we were able to do this.”
