Piano recital in aid of Dasha
In aid of the learners and workers at Dasha school and workshop, a piano recital by Petro Marais will take place on Monday, November 17.

MBOMBELA – At the workshop natural skills are developed such as knitting, sewing, bead- and artwork.
The pupils are involved in paper- and card making, cards, fabric painting, candle making, needlework and pottery.
Good quality products are sold as opportunities arise. Several outside jobs have been undertaken successfully which generate some funds.
Basic relationships, outdoor activities and skills are dealt with. Pottery and artwork are favourites at the workshop, as well as creating handmade paper.
Swimming and other sports are encouraged with regular visits to gymnasiums. Several learners take part in galas and have performed very well. Some children do regular equestrian training and this improves their self-image as well as posture and physical fitness.
Pianist Petro Marais was born in South Africa where he had his first piano lessons. He became a music teacher at Milner High School in Klerksdorp.
He continued his studies in Stellenbosch where he led a student choir on tours through the country. He then continued his studies in the Netherlands and led youth music, singing and dancing group, Combo Studio 72, on concert tours to more than 20 countries.
The event will take place on Monday November 17 at Nelspruit Methodist Church Hall at 10:00. Entry is R40 per person.
