Vacancy: Features writer

Lowveld  Media requires a features journalist to join the award-winning community magazine, Get it Lowveld’s team.

A reputable background in the magazine industry would be advantageous.

The candidate will be required to:

• Conceptualise and compile beauty and shopping pages
• Organise and/coordinate fashion shoots
• Write on a variety of lifestyle subjects
• Occasionally take own photographs
• Adhere to strict monthly deadlines
• Have a passion for people and their stories
• Do daily uploading onto website and social media platforms
• Be prepared to work after-hours from time to time.

The successful candidate will:

• Have at least a national diploma in journalism or a degree in journalism or communication or languages
• Have 3-years’experience working in a magazine environment
• Be self-motivated and energetic
• Have own transport
• Have an above average command of the English language.
