Life expectancy in South Africa 10 years lower than world average

South Africa's average life expectancy ranked 191 st on the global list of 224 countries, putting us well below average.

According to the CIA World Factbook of 2015, the average life expectancy of people living in South Africa is 62,34% which is about 10 years less than the world average of 72,2%.
