Want to cancel your TV licence? Click here!

Sign on the dotted line and send it off to the SABC.

Have you gotten rid of your TV but are still paying your TV licence? Many South Africans still have to cough up the annual fee of R265, but that is only because trying to cancel it is near impossible.

In order to cancel your TV licence, you need an affidavit from the SABC. But it seems most people would have better luck finding a leprechaun than getting their hands on this document. Don’t stress… Lowvelder‘s got you covered!

NOTE:

• Your licence can only be cancelled if your TV set(s) has been sold or disposed of.
• It won’t be cancelled if there is still an outstanding balance on your account.
• If your TV has been stolen, you need to report it to the police and add the case number to the affidavit.
• Once signed, you can send the affidavit to tvlic.info@sabc.co.za.
