I’langa Mall management deny floor collapse

Lowvelder contacted I'langa Mall management after receiving several concerned calls from members of the public about a possible floor collapse in the building.

MBOMBELA – I’langa Mall’s general manager, Sandi Human, said rumours of a floor collapsing are untrue.

“At the back of the lifts where the temporary tailor was located, a slab was brought down for the preparation of building the Toys R Us and the expansion of Studio 88. It may have been the cause of the rumours,” she said.

“Shopping centres have a life cycle and when enough demand is created, it warrants expansion.”

She added that there were many exciting developments in the pipeline.

The new Toys R Us store will be a double storey.
