Temporary closure of Old Pretoria Road
The right turning lanes, towards Barberton, of the Old Pretoria Road have been temporarily closed after a head on collision earlier.

The right lanes of the Old Pretoria Road have been closed as a result of paraffin spillage.
This is a result of a head on collision between a private bakkie and another one transporting the paraffin in a trailer.

According to eye witnesses on the scene, the driver of the bakkie transporting the paraffin had attempted to make a right turn onto Old Pretoria despite the robot having turned green for those proceeding straight ahead.
“It was our turn to go for us coming straight from the Barberton side, and the two bakkies met head on as the one with the trailer attempted to make a quick right turn,” said Hugo Gey van Pittius, an eye witness.
The drivers of both vehicles sustained minor injuries.
