BREAKING NEWS UPDATE: Mbombela CBD trashed again

MBOMBELA – Protesters trashed the city last night in a continuing strike over wages.

The strike has been ongoing since last week.

Lowvelder previously reported that an interdict was obtained against the protesters.

According to TJ Mare, chairman of the Kruger Lowveld Chamber of Business and Tourism (KLCBT), a group of disgruntled workers held an unsanctioned strike in Anderson Street despite this fact.

The City of Mbombela Municipality is currently busy cleaning the mess.

Residents are also advised not to put their trash out on 10 August as there is another planned protest.
