Still no water in White River? Here’s why

Some parts of White River are still experiencing water shortages.

The City of Mbombela Local Municipality lived up to its promise to have the water supply restored by 17:00 yesterday. Residents had to endure water shortages for more than two days, due to critical maintenance to the canal supplying bulk raw water. The canal was closed on Monday and reopened yesterday.

However, some parts of White River are still experiencing water shortages. Spokesman for the City of Mbombela, Mr Joseph Ngala, explains that the problems are not related.

“We have picked up a leak and is attending to the issue immediately,” he said. “Water should be restored withing the next hour,” Ngala said.
