Become a top model – and aid CANSA
CANSA Lowveld is again breaking new ground, this time by offering aspiring models the opportunity to get themselves noticed by top modelling agencies while doing good for the non-profit organisation.

MBOMBELA – Scouting has opened for anyone between the ages of three and 19, to stand a chance to be participate in the inaugural CANSA Socialite 2017 competition.
Finalists will be selected from all entries by MasterModels Nelspruit, and be judged on the evening by representatives from no less than the South African Talent Championship, Wihelmina New York, Boss Models and Top Model South Africa.
Entry for the scouting stages is free. It can be done online or at open sessions at i’langa Mall on September 9, 16 and 23.
The final event will take place on October 8, where six winners will be crowned. The categories are (each has a male and female winner) three to six years old, seven to 12 years and 13 to 19. Models who get through to the final will pay an entry fee of R250, and get two tickets for their friends and family to attend. Each additional ticket costs R50, as does each ticket sold to the general public.

Aside from exciting prizes, the winners get to be ambassadors for CANSA Lowveld for the year, and all participants have the opportunity to showcase themselves to the judges, the cream of national and international modelling agencies.
“Anyone at all is invited to participate, especially those with no modelling experience,” said Jacqueline Weideman, CANSA community mobiliser and Lowveld office manager.
Contestants will also be required to raise R250 for CANSA in a challenge the week leading up to the final event, and the one who raises the most will get a special award.
