WARNING: Critical blood shortage

SANBS' stock won't last another two days unless donors give the live saving blood.

MBOMBELA – The SANBS is experiencing a critical shortage. It needs at least five days’ worth of blood to serve all the patients across South Africa whose lives depend on blood transfusions.

At the moment their stock levels stand at only 1,7 days.

“If we don’t get new blood donations, it will run out in less than two days,” a representative said.

In Mbombela, donors can visit the donation stations at i’langa Mall and Riverside Mall.

All you have to do is be in good health, older than 16 and weigh more than 50kg.
