Weather remains warm and sunny despite light rainfall

Rainfall predictions remain low despite lower temperatures predicted for the coming week.

MBOMBELA – Despite some drops falling early Monday morning, residents of the Lowveld should not rejoice the coming of the summer rains as a measly 1.5 millimeters of rain was recorded over the weekend.

Temperatures will remain in the mid to high 20s this week with a prediction of a light drizzle on Thursday and a predicted 52 per cent chance of rain on Saturday September 23, according to the South African Weather Service.

The fire danger index is low for most of the week with Friday September 22, as the exception with an extreme fire danger notice being predicted by the South African Weather Service.
