UPDATE: Fire at BUCO still burning
Firefighters are still on the scene but the store is open for business.

MBOMBELA – The Mbombela Fire Department has enlisted the help of forklifts to move rubble from the burned wood store, located behind the hardware store .
This is to prevent the fire from flaring up again and spreading, a representative said.
Firefighters have been battling the flames since late last night. He said flare ups are making it hard to control.

A damaged wall of the wood store was also demolished for safety reasons.
According to BUCO management, the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
They planned to have the wood store part fully operational again by Friday. Business in the hardware store continues as normal.
