Young star becomes princess at Miss Mpumalanga Ambassador
She attended Numbi Primary and is currently in grade nine at Hoërskool Nelspruit.

Mariska Fouche, who has been a Hazyview resident all her life, was crowned first princess in the Mr & Miss Mpumalanga Ambassador pageant at the Mpumalanga Show, which recently took place at Mbombela Stadium.
She attended Numbi Primary and is currently in grade nine at Hoërskool Nelspruit. At the age of 14 she participated in her first competition, which was Mr & Miss Nelacres. She was chosen as first princess for Miss Teen Nelacres 2016 and in November that year she won the Miss Amakietie. She was also chosen as the first princess in this year’s Miss Klaserie competition.
Mariska said commented that life in hostel got her down, and when she heard about Hillicks Model & Talent in Mbombela, she decided to give it a try.
“There isn’t a moment that I regret joining,” she said.
Daleen Hillicks, of the above-mentioned model and talent agency, said that Mariska is making her proud, that she is an amazing photographic model and that she is pursuing pageantry as well.
The agency give classes in modelling and train models from three to 80 years. Female models are trained by female and male models, who are all certified international catwalk trainers.
They have modelling classes, such as introduction to modelling, catwalk, pageantry and photographic modelling. They also do mature and plus-size modelling.
At The Performing Art Studio, where they give classes, they give training in modern, ballroom, Latin, hip hop, line dancing and sokkie dancing and also give vocal coaching in all the genres and teach musical instruments.
