The mass action was called for last week in remembrance of those who lost their lives in farm attacks

Farming communities from all over the country are partaking in a mass protest against farmers today.

A convoy of trucks, tractors, bakkies and motorbikes are travelling to White River Primary school.

In a recent stats report, Mpumalanga’s murder rate increased by 11% between April 2016 and March 2017. Currently Mpumalanga has the highest murder rate increase in the country.

In Nelspruit alone, attempted murder showed an increase of 118%, while the murder rate has dropped by 41%.

Farming communities from around South Africa have joined in the mass protest to not only create awareness for the shocking amount of farm murders that took place in the country, but also as a plea for the government to take action.
