Four people injured in vehicle accident in the KNP
Four people were injured when a sedan with five occupants hit a tree just off the H3 tourist road in KNP.

The female driver and three passengers sustained various injuries when a vehicle hit a tree next to a road in the Kruger National Park (KNP) this morning.
The white Proton sedan with five occupants left the road and hit a tree just off the H3 tourist road, about 7 km from Afsaal Picnic Spot towards Malelane Gate.
The injured visitors were from Kwazulu Natal and nobody appeared to have sustained life threatening injuries. After being attended to at the scene by the local Skukuza doctor, they were taken by ambulance for further treatment to a medical facility in Nelspruit.
“The cause of the accident is unknown, but indications are that the driver could have taken her eyes off the road for a second when the accident occurred. We wish the injured a speedy recovery and appeal to tourists to remain alert at all times. Do not lose concentration whilst driving, especially with the current warm prevailing conditions in the park”, said the acting managing executive of the KNP, Nicholus Funda.
The guests entered the park at Numbi Gate today and were on their way out through Malelane Gate when the accident occurred.
