Theft out of vehicles rife in town
Several incidents of theft out of motor vehicles were reported recently
White River Police urges the community to be vigilant and not to leave their belongings in view in vehicles after several reported incidents of theft out of motor vehicles.
The local SAPS gives the following safety tips to prevent this crime:
* Exercise caution when leaving or entering your car, especially in a parking lot.
* Keep all your windows up and doors locked , double check if your doors are locked
* Don’t leave your valuable items unattended and in a plain sight on your seat.
Report any criminal activities, suspicious persons, or any other activity to the police. When you report make sure you have a full description ( like the clothes and height of a person, a vehicle the registration number, make, model and colour).
