PREVIEW: This teacher makes a difference, everday
Growing up in Zimbabwe, Janet Vincent (63) loved playing "teacher, teacher". She never thought that when she grew up she would have the privilege to play that game every single day of her life.
MBOMBELA – Janet is a grade R teacher and headmistress at Fairyland Nursery School where she has helped build the school for the past 22 years. It has 126 learners ranging from three to six years old, with five teachers to look after them.
It started 29 years ago where the old Nelsville clinic used to be. Even though it was still under the administration of Child Welfare then, Fairyland is now an independent non-profit organisation.
