WATCH: Lowveld, get ready to BosRock

BosRock takes place on October 6 at Kwanyoni Lodge outside Mbombela.

MBOMBELA – Old-school rock music, ice cold refreshments and a Springbok-All Black test match. One can hardly ask for a better way to spend a Saturday.

Programme

  • 12:00 – Gates open. Solid Ground, Voodookudu and Catharsis to perform.
  • 14:00 – Goat N Hare
  • 15:00 – Jonathan Peyper
  • 16:00 – Gibraltar
  • 17:00 – Rugby – There will be a fan park to watch the much anticipated test match between the Springboks and All Blacks on big screens. There will be no live music during the match, so you don’t have to choose which to watch. If you must avoid the test match, music entertainment will be provided in the beer tent for the duration. 
  • 19:00 – RIDERS (Mel Botes, Valiant Swart, Piet Botha, Robin Auld and the Akkedis brothers) 
  • Until late – Black Cat Bones

The rockers will perform their own old-school hard rock, as well as classics ranging from Chris Rea and Johnny Cash to Dire Straits and The Rolling Stones.

Robin has also promised his hit “All of Woman”, Piet’s “Middernagtrein” and Valiant’s “Vloek van die Kitaar”.

Panarottis’ delicious family food will be on sale and Harley-Davidson will set up a motorbike display.

Concertgoers can also park for free at i’langa Mall on the day to catch a ride with Citybug for R20 to the venue and back.

There will also be loads of giveaways and free Wi-fi with which to win using the hashtags #BosRock and #Uniwisp and a few more surprises in store.

Bring the whole family. For the little ones, there is a play area with jumping castles and slides.

Tickets are R100 for standing and you can bring your own chairs.

No cooler boxes will be allowed inside the venue.

Seating tickets start at R150 up to R300 for the golden circle.

BosRock tickets are available from Computicket, all Shoprite and Checkers outlets, at Lowveld Media’s offices, Mahindra Nelspruit and at the gate on the day.
