Callen Herbst awarded with a PSiRA

On October 11, at a prestigious awards ceremony in Johannesburg, Herbst won his very first PSiRA award.

PSiRA is the national security industry alliance which ensures that security companies and their staff are always on par.

Herbst won a bronze certificate in the prevention of crime category.
The certificate was awarded as appreciation of his exceptional performance and service beyond and above the call of duty, making a difference to crime in the country in is posision as security guard at Hi-Tech Nelspruit.

“I feel really good. It shows that our hard work has payed off and it’s worth it for all the effort that we put in,” Herbst said.

According to him, he got the award for a difficult crime situation that he managed affectively as well as a few arrests that he made leading up to the awards.

According to Callum MacPherson, operations manager, this is the third year in a row that someone at Hi-Tech Nelspruit receives an award and Herbst is the fifth person at Hi-Tech to receive an award like this.
