Laeveldrus residents enjoy Christmas lunch
They enjoyed their meal while socialising and listening to beautiful music.
Christmas came early for the elderly people of Laeveldrus old age home when Nelspruit Care Buddies prepared a three-course lunch at Van Riebeeck Park on Thursday.
They enjoyed their meal while socialising and listening to beautiful music. Care Buddies is a non-profit organisation committed to loving, caring and supporting the elderly.

Meisie Barnard, the chairman of the Nelspruit Care Buddies, said that this was the first time they hosted this event.
“We will host seven other Christmas lunches. The next one will be at Oranjesig on November 14.

“We have invited 50 people for each of the seven and if a person does not feel well enough to attend, we deliver their food to them. We plan to host this every year,” she said.
Barnard said that everything was made possible thanks to the contributions of sponsors.
