Park runners achieve personal best times

The Hazyview parkrun is run every Saturday at Sabi River Sun on the main road to Sabie.

Hazyview Park saw two women, Miranda Potgieter and Linda Mannix, finish their 50th and 100th parkruns respectively.

On December 29 Potgieter achieved her milestone in a time of 25 minutes, 17 seconds and Mannix finished her

100th run in 37,49, a great achievementfor both runners.

On the day 138 runners and walkers were on the field and a few also improved their personal bests:

The parkrun on January 12 was held in unbearably hot temperatures, even at 07:00 in the morning.

Notwithstanding the unfavourable climate, a few personal best times were achieved by some of the 64 runners in

the field:

• Zanele Mthembu 39:16

• Annelie Kruger 43:17

• Mark Haken 54:05

• Darryl Cross 54:09

• Lynn Haken 57:31

The Hazyview parkrun is run every Saturday at 07:00 (October – March) and 08:00 (April – September) at Sabi River Sun on the main road to Sabie.
