Troops awarded for service in and around KNP
The ceremony was concluded by the handing over of special awards.

A farewell parade for troops deployed at the Kruger National Park, Macadamia and Zonstraal bases was held at Skukuza on February 15.
Bidding them farewell, Col Martin Gopane, on behalf of the GOC J Op HQ paid tribute to them, lauding them for being disciplined soldiers and ambassadors for the infantry.
“You have accomplished your mission and set a high standard of discipline,” he said and stated that they had to overcome many challenges and operate under difficult conditions.
“You have helped to keep our rhinos safe, and boosted the economy of Mpumalanga by finding R63 815 184 worth of illicit goods, dagga and stolen vehicles during the six months you have been deployed here,” he said.
He expressed appreciation to their families and loved ones for their support and concluded the ceremony by handing over special tokens and certificates of appreciation to them.
