New vehicles donated for Eco Trail guides
Two bakkies were donated to SANParks to be used by guides on the Lebombo eco trail that stretches over four nights and five days, from Crocodile Bridge in the south to Pafuri in the north.
The guides leading tourists on the Lebombo Eco Trail in the Kruger National Park (KNP) will in future be able to do that in comfort and without fear of aged vehicles giving trouble.
Two fully equipped Isuzu bakkies were donated to SANParks to be used by guides on the trail that stretches over four nights and five days, from Crocodile Bridge in the south to Pafuri in the north.
At the handing over ceremony, the Marula regional activities coordinator, Van Rooi Moreku, explained to guests why and how the trail was established and why trustworthy vehicles are necessary to negotiate it. Chris Jonck, aftersales executive of Isuzu Motors South Africa, expressed his appreciation for their long relationship with SANParks and that it was a privilege to continue it in such a way.
The idea of donating the vehicles came from an event in 2018 when the company launched the latest models of their range at Pretoriuskop, in the KNP.
The bakkies were equipped by Mega World and the canopies provided by Alu-Cab South Africa.
Both Kurt Brunner, general manager of Mega World, and Raymond Ferreira of Alu-Cab said that it was a privilege for them to be of assistance, since overlanding for families is their business.
After the vehicles were officially handed over, they gave a demonstration to guests to show them how the fitted roof tents and other equipment is operated.
