#Mbombela Trade Show set to inject life into local tourism industry

Entrance to the show is free of charge. Many surprise lucky draws will take place throughout the day with great prizes up for grabs.

Mpumalanga with its scenic views, temperate climate and abundance of fauna and flora has long been a jewel in the South African tourism sector. Visitors flock from far and wide to enjoy the weather, wildlife and famous Lowveld hospitality.

The Mbombela Trade Show, which is a first for the province, will be hosted at the Emnotweni Arena on July 30 from 10:00 to 17:00. This is the ideal showcase for reliable, unique suppliers to the tourism industry and will feature more than 40 exhibits from suppliers to the hospitality industry.

Among the exhibitors are tours, shuttle services, vehicle rental, furniture and decor, cleaning services, amenities, food and beverages, uniforms, equipment, televisions and satellites, insurance, photography and design, tourism applications, pest control, management and booking systems, telephone and web services, anti-venom and lawyers and conveyancers.

The show offers solutions to suppliers to the hospitality industry.

The tourism industry is pivotal to the local economy and provides employment to suppliers sourced from the Lowveld and gives a much-needed boost to many households in the province. The show promises to be a dynamic event, catering to industry professionals and will also include live demonstrations which cannot be missed.

There will be a chef’s demo set to start at 11:00 which will focus on preparing a vegetarian dish. This will be followed by an eco-talk centred around the optimisation of energy and water resources as well as sustainable water and waste management. If you have been a victim of funny accidents in the home, the Housekeepers’ Association has the solution to avoiding these situations. They will host their presentation at 13:00.

The hospitality industry will receive a much-needed boost from the show.

Unsure how to handle pesky pests without harming the environment? The Owl Rescue Centre has safe and environmentally friendly alternatives. The chef will return at 14:00 with a gluten-free dish, followed by a demonstration on trends and decor by African Dream Amenities.
