Workshop hosts newly qualified traditional healer

Guest speakers on alternative and natural therapies will bring more insight on how to achieve a healthy mind and body.

Lesley Barbeau recently completed a study course in the application and uses of healing with traditional medicine. She has been interested in this field for many years and has done her own extensive research on the ingredients used in traditional medicine and healing practices.

She is now qualified to practice health through cultural heritage under the auspices of the African National Healers Association, as incorporated under Section 21 of Act 61/73.

Barbeau will also be one of the guest speakers at an alternative therapies workshop held at Jungle Café in Hazyview on Saturday October 12 from 07:00 to 14:00.

Eight guest speakers on alternative and natural therapies will bring more insight on how to achieve a healthy mind and body and how these complementary therapies can make a difference in one’s health.

The workshop starts at 07:30 with Secret Sunrise dancing, and will be followed by talks on vegan eating, body stress release, complementary medicine and therapies, techniques on breath awareness and more. For information and to book, call 083-673-1414 or mail info@vikingpixie.co.za.
