Whiteys showcase their talents

All items were of high quality and testified of exceptional talent.

White River Primary School’s annual talent competition ended with a glamorous event at the Barnyard Theatre at Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre recently.

After a year of planning and preparation, knockout rounds and more preparation, the now prestigious competition finale brought excellent entertainment to the audience.

The winners were worthy of the applause and trophies awarded.

Skyler Steyn and his clever ways with a hockey stick took him to first place among the grade ones, while the dance group Asanda and Nomhle took first place among the grade twos.

Nadia Abdallah took hula hoop dancing to another level for first place in grade three, but Siyabonga Motha, who could be mistaken for a much smaller Michael Jackson on stage, used those familiar and extraordinary dance moves to be crowned as junior overall winner.

Anika van Staden acted her way through severe hassles with hair to first place for grade four and two more dance groups, that of Kareen, Saveri, Leanne and Neha, and the Versace dance group, won the grade five and six categories.

Migael Ludik not only talked to himself in his monologue, but also reached the ears of the adjudicators to be declared winner of the grade sevens.

The overall winner of the seniors, however, was Jenilee Nieuwenhuizen with her angelic voice.
