Mbombela police appeal to community to identify goods and cash discarded by suspect
The eagle-eyed security officer acted on his suspicions and the man fled before discarding the loot.
MBOMBELA – The Nelspruit police are urging members of the public who may have fallen victim to robbers or burglars to identify goods and an undisclosed sum of money.
A Divergent Ops security officer noticed a man acting suspiciously at about 04:45 near Crossing Centre in Mbombela this morning.

He gave chase and the suspect fled before discarding a backpack he was carrying. The officer examined the contents of the bag and discovered a camera, binoculars and an undisclosed amount of cash.
No arrests have been made and police are urging any victims to come forward. The goods will be returned after positive identification.
