Lover’s quarrel leads to boyfriend’s murder

A lover’s quarrel between 20-yearold Dean Shabangu and his girlfriend turned violent in Zwelisha on Saturday
afternoon.

According to the police report, Shabangu had a physical altercation with his girlfriend, who then left his house and later returned with her sister and brother.

The Mpumalanga police spokesman, Brig Leonard Hlathi, said that on her return, the man’s girlfriend and her family
members beat him to death.

“The two sisters were placed under arrest, but the brother implicated in the attack remains at large.

“The police are asking that anyone with information which may lead to his apprehension, contact the Pienaar Police Station on 013-714-9300,” Hlathi said
