Update: A member of the South African Rugby Union (SARU), Hein Mentz, has been suspended after he was found guilty of a sexual offence against a female colleague. Mentz said the outcome shocked him, and maintains his innocence. He apologised for what he claimed was simply an innocent embrace. Read the full story in Tuesday’s Lowvelder.

Former president of the Mpumalanga Rugby Union, Hein Mentz, has reportedly been suspended by the South African Rugby Union (SARU), after he was allegedly found guilty on a sexual offence-related charge. Lowvelder will update as soon as we have more information.
