Mashishing parkrun hosts Tutu Run day
It is a free, five-kilometre event that is open to everyone.

Mashishing parkrun members had time to unplug and enjoy the outdoors during the Tutu Run on Saturday.
It was the second parkrun of the year and they enjoyed this bright and colourful event.
Johan Munnik, one of the volunteers said, “Everybody enjoyed dressing up and sharing in the fun during the run.
“The parkrunners could dress up in their most colourful tutus.

“We had 77 runners, which show an improvement comparing to the last 51 runners for an event. “We currently have 1 184 people registered and so far we have had 5 396 people finish the race”.
The parkrun takes place at MTPA Fisheries, Morgan Street every Saturday morning at 08:00. It is a free, five-kilometre event that is open to everyone.

“We are a friendly bunch and we invite you to come and join in the fun.
It is not a race and you can walk, jog and run at any pace you want. Nobody comes last, as there is a tail walker that makes sure that everybody finishes and is kept safe,” he said.
Munnik added that they would like to invite the whole community, old, young, fast or slow to join.
“The entire family can join. Everybody is welcome and it is not a political, religious or any business orientated event,” he explained.
