Vaya Sounds FC wins soccer tourney

In the second match, the winning team (Vaya Sounds) was pitted against Ake Dah FC. The match was an entertaining affair, with both teams attacking from the onset.

Vaya Sounds FC were the winners of the Bothashoek social soccer tournament played at the Mmiditsi sports grounds on Sunday. The tourney is played weekly and involves some of the local brands, businesses, retired soccer stars and influential people in Tubatse.

Some of the players that participated have already hung up their boots from this beautiful game. Three teams competed in the day’s matches. The two other participating teams were Thug FC and Ake Dah FC.

The first encounter was one-way traffic, with Vaya Sounds walloping Thug FC 4-0. In the second match, the winning team (Vaya Sounds) was pitted against Ake Dah FC. The match was an entertaining affair, with both teams attacking from the onset. Showboating, nutmegs, tsamayas and vula vala was the order of the day as the players entertained the crowd with their dribbling skills.

Themba Mkhondo was excellent in his play.

Vaya Sounds were clinical in front of goals, winning the match 3-1.
