Photography club focuses its skills

The members are photographers who share ideas and techniques, and fellowship while they develop their photography skills.

Beautiful photos were the main focus during the recent Longtom Photography Club meeting. This event is a monthly meeting that takes place at the Hervormde Kerk on a Monday at 18:00.

The members are photographers who share ideas and techniques, and fellowship while they develop their photography skills. It is a practical event for those who want to get to know their cameras and have questions about them.

Every month they have a new topic to focus on and choose the best photos. The winners are announced during the meeting.

 

In the set-subject section and the monochrome (black and white) section, Des Jacobs was the winner. In the open section, Lani Visser was again the winner with her beautiful photo of a slanghalsvoël (African darter).

Lize Maritz, the secretary of the club, said the next meeting, scheduled for April 14, has unfortunately been cancelled on account of the recent Covid-19 outbreak.
