Car Boot Sale a fresh community support platform
According to Herman Schutte, organiser, the plan is to host the event once a month.

MBOMBELA – The very first Nelspruit Car Boot Sale was held recently at Mbombela Stadium.
“Hopefully it grows so much that we can host it every second weekend,” he said.
Schutte laughed when asked about the reason for the event and answered the question with one word: Covid-19.
“Everyone has been stuck inside and I thought to organise the event so that people have the chance to get out and get some fresh air,” Schutte said.

“It provides the platform for the community to support one another and for people to get rid of their unwanted white elephants, and to make some cash in the process.”
The event was held in the parking area of Mbombela Stadium, where there was plenty of space for people to respect the lockdown regulations concerning social distancing.
“We also had ACS Security patrolling the area to ensure the safety of our exhibitors and shoppers,” said Schutte.
He concluded by mentioning that he aims to host another Car Boot Sale in September and that people should keep an eye on the Facebook page for more details.
