Casterbridge Cinema hosts Classic Outdoor Drive-In
The event was very well supported by the community, having been sold out both evenings and the chilly weather did not damper the spirits of the attendees.

WHITE RIVER – Lockdown has changed the way the community moves and goes about their daily lives.
This “new normal” is forcing many businesses to seek alternatives, and this no different for Casterbridge Cinema.
Sue Butowsky and Nicky McArthur organised the Classic Outdoor Drive-in, which was held recently at the rear of Casterbridge.

“We plan to host the drive-in once a month, every second weekend,” McArthur told Lowvelder.
The event featured the film Peanut Butter Falcon which follows the story of a Down’s syndrome boy chasing his dream of becoming a professional wrestler.
He teams up with a man on the run and together their story ensured many laughs.
The movie soundtrack was aired through a radio frequency which broadcast on the screen before the viewing.
Food could be pre-ordered through the Magnolia food van and there was also a popcorn stand.
