The event saw hundreds of kilograms of dog and cat food and funds raised for the beneficiary, Pro-Life Pet Rescue.

The event was organised by Mrs Mpumalanga finalist Monique O’Reilly in an effort to support the organisation and raise donations for it.

O’Reilly said the event was sold out and everyone attending had fun.  Patrons who wanted to win themselves R1 000 worth of droëwors had to vigorously air guitar along to AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck”, and the audience voted for their favourite showman.

Local bands, The Acoustics, Hopeless Heroes and Dare to Believe, as well as LA Cobra from Johannesburg, treated the audience to a medley of music, with a solo performance from local Mel Davids. Some supporters of the event dressed up for Woof Stock in true “Woodstock” fashion, donning their best “flower child” outfits paired with flowery hair accessories, colourful make-up and rainbow peace signs.
