Young dancers achieve excellence at eisteddfod

This yearly event created a lot of excitement for everyone involved.

Learners who put many hours of training and preparation into their performances, grabbed the opportunity to showcase their talents.

Dancers could opt for many categories, from ballet, modern jazz, contemporary, to tap, hip-hop, cultural acrobatics, ballroom or Latin. There were also solo, duet and trio performances when it came to group categories.

The children had the opportunity to receive bronze, silver, gold or prestige certificates for their performances.

Laerskool Malelane’s learners’ results

• Nikita Radley danced competitive and won a gold medal and a prestige certificate.
• Katrien Radley performed a solo and won gold.
• Nienke Radley danced competitive and received a gold medal and prestige certificate.
• Amore Hattingh received a silver plus for her dance.
• Khloe Wilken danced in a solo and received a gold plus.
• The dance group, called The Avengettes, received gold for their talented performance.
