PCA gives the gift of baby food

Pediatric Care Africa (PCA) visited various of areas around Mbombela last week, gifting families and children with much-needed baby food.

PCA said they delivered food to dozens of babies and toddlers in Magalela, Brondal, Katoen and Mshoslozi, in a bid to win the “perpetual fight against child hunger and malnutrition”.

PCA said children received tins of age-appropriate baby milk, Nestum baby food and Pronutro for toddlers.

PCA secretary, Surika van der Merwe, said they receive new requests for food, particularly baby food every week from across Mbombela.

She said the Pronutro was sponsored and donated to PCA by SPAR Lowveld which forms part of the Lowveld initiative of GB2C (Giving Back 2 our Community).

“There is no doubt that without your regular and very welcome assistance we simply would not be able to continue helping these children in food distress,” said Van der Merwe.
