Numbi Primary has fun with water Olympics
Numbi Primary ended its third term with fun land service activities on Thursday September 30.
The school has offered land service for seven years and is the only school in the Lowveld, with the exception of Lydenburg, that offers this culture experience.
The school has had six learners who received their Mpumalanga colours for land service pre-Covid, and also one who received their junior Springbok colours. The land service movement is over 100 years old and teaches children to love God, nature, their community and labour.

Numbi also had a water Olympic event on the last day of school. There were seven different activities on offer, including two water obstacle courses, sprints, hurdles, shot-put, cricket ball throw, long jump and dancing.
According to the teachers of Numbi Primary, every child needs physical activities and fresh air, especially after all these months in lockdown with hardly any social activities and exercise. All the activities were held outside and in small groups, and Covid regulations were strictly adhered to.
