Portuguese Festa is packed with fun and flair
Visitors and locals thoroughly enjoyed the Portuguese Festa at the Malelane Catholic Church on Sunday October 31.
The gates opened at 09:00 and people could sit at tables in the shade. The streets and sidewalks of Malalane were jam-packed with cars by 12:00 when the festival began.
The many attendees, who decided to spend their Sunday exploring the Portuguese culture, delighted in freshly cooked traditional meals, ice-cold drinks, live music and dance performances that took everyone by surprise between the tables.

Face-painting, a water slide and a jumping castle were organised for the children and the parents enjoyed the live music and dances with friends and families.
Damiao de Freitas welcomed and thanked everyone who attended the event. He also sang songs as people danced, drank and ate throughout the day.
