Does the Lowveld have talent? You bet it does.

Weeks of planning and scouting finally culminated into a talent show of such a high standard, it left many in awe wanting more. Lowvelder’s Got Talent, a competition that was born and bred in this publication’s offices in Stinkhout Crescent, saw tickets sell like hot cakes.

In fact, before you could even say “when”, tickets were sold out and The Barnyard Theatre was packed to the allowed capacity according to Covid-19 regulations.

Lowvelder, in collaboration with Master Models, started working on the idea in August and it flourished into a seamless event which attracted some of the finest young talent the Lowveld has to offer.

In all four categories (singing, dancing, acting and modelling) and all age groups, the participants excelled and choosing winners was no easy feat.

The atmosphere was electric and participants were cheered along by the audience through out the day.

The judges had some difficult decisions as the competition among participants was extremely tough due to the incredible talent in the Lowveld, across all categories.

This Friday there will be a strategy session at the Lowvelder offices with winners and brand ambassadors to map out the way forward for the season that lies ahead.

On the day, there will also be a Facebook live draw in which a local school that has winning participants can win R5 000 in cash.
