Gabisele Mokgwatsane, aka CastroFlex, is a 26-year-old singer and says he was born to be behind a microphone.
This talented young man is an amapiano artist. This is a new version of house music favoured by the youth and is a mix of hip hop, rap, and kwaito.
“I have been inspired by international artists Migos, Kanye West and Lil Wayne throughout my career. “I was born and raised in Lydenburg and matriculated at Lydenburg High School in 2014,” said Mokgwatsane.

He started to perform at the age of 14 and is now a registered member of the Southern African Music Rights Organisation.
In 2018 he was a finalist in the popular SABC 2 show, Showville. In this programme the talents of young people from small towns across South Africa are highlighted.
Mokgwatsane is one of the artists who will perform at Mashakeng Stadium on Saturday November 20. Mashishing residents are invited to attend the family fun day that will start at 10:00.
