Bergvlam introduces new school presidents for 2022

The school announced the new leaders for 2022 on September 21

Hoërskool Bergvlam recently elected its new school leaders for 2022 as well the student heads.

The school announced the new leaders on September 21, with Sadiyah Ameer and Ntokozo Mabuza named as the new presidents and Naledi Ramushu and Jacques Klopper the vice presidents.

Bergvlam conducted a quick and quirky question-and-answer session, asking them about their passions, hobbies, favourite foods and of course their mission for the school in 2022.

Sadiyah, who can speak Turkish and is skilled on the piano, said she was “definitely amazed and completely honoured that my team saw in me the capabilities to lead them”, when she was announced one of the school’s presidents.

“Adrenaline was rushing through my body and it took a few moments for me to actually digest that it was my name that was called.”

She said her mission for the following year is to create a sense of unity, “for the Vlammies to not just be a family by name but a family by heart”.
